Default Unlocked,Data wont work, will pay 4 help!

Hello, i recently bought a phone from verizon 8830 and unlocked it for my local network in canada cdma. they said data wont work becuase rim wont allow it. This is after they kep the phone for night to do some programming. I think this is total BS and i know there is a way to get data to ork on it. phone and voice works. i will pay if you resolve this problem. someone said something about a APN please help

First.. if it's a 8830.. you wont be able to use it in canada.. the GSM band are not the same, and Bell or Telus wont activate it on their network.

If you unlocked it from verizon, its a CDMA phone. So in order to use the phone at all in Canada, you need to be on Bell or Telus. If you are on Bell or Telus, i would think that the data would work. I dont see why it wouldnt
