Default ~ BB Turning On By Itself ~

Please Login to Remove!

When I have my BB in my pocket or handbag, how can I keep it from accidentally turning on by itself? It must be pressing against something as I have even called someone by mistake. I have a BB 9650.

Thanks for your help.

You could use the keyboard lock. If you don't see a lock icon on the top, opposite side from the mute, then look at the user guide. Go to blackberry.com and download the user guide if you have to.

But my advice is you would be wise to set a password with a reasonable time out. It will automatically lock the keyboard when it times out, but also prevent someone from accessing your device without your say so. You will still be able to manually lock it before the time out, if you desire. Find the options/settings app, open it, and go from there.
