Just got a BB 7290 on Rogers Wireless. Upgraded the Desktop software, SP1 version, and got the 4.0.2 handheld upgrade right off the bat before even using it, only to find i cant seem to keep the handheld connected to the desktop manager application launcher.
1. I attach the handheld to the comp. with the supplied USB.
2. Handheld is on. Phone off.
3. Open Desktop manager.
4. Open application launcher, the handheld is detected, and it says updates available now... "YES"
5. Takes me to a list of applications that will be udated etc.. NOW... Somwhere between here and sometimes in the middle of updating the handheld disconnects. So that screen closes and takes me back the the reg "Desktop Manager" screen, and the status bar on the bottom says disconnected, and sometime says connected but either way once im in the application launcher it disconnects.
Thats my dilemma, next step is the local Rogers to RANT!! LOL
LMAO you guys like the cowbell.. lol Anyways I have not tried a wipe on the BB unit itself yet, but i have reloaded the desktop software a few times, but i guess i will try again... keep the suggestions commin...
YUP... Laptop.. Dell Inspiron 5150, P4 3.02/ Win XP pro. etc... U thinkin thats it?? 2 USB ports in the back both tight, and the BB is new with new USB so i dont think its that.. keep em commin..
NOTE TO SELF!! SELF... turn off all anti-virus and ad blocker software and u can then use the Desktop manager.. Thanks all for the help im officially a BBerry guy and lovin it...
