Question File Function Disappears

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone ever seen this before?

When you are in the Message list and click options there is no "File" option. If you click "View Folder" you do not see the folder in your Inbox. I have discovered that if Wireless Reconciliation is turned off the "File" function mysteriously reappears. I can go back and forth: Wireless reconcile: ON, no file function, Wireless reconcile: off, File functions.

I have performed a clean uninstall of the Desktop Manager and wiped the device and only restored the old emails.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a 3.6 BES server and a Cingular 7290. Device is on 4.0 and Desktop Manager was 4.0033. In troubleshooting the problem I have updated the Desktop to 4.01.10 and handheld to 4.0.249

I am not 100% sure, but I suspect that the 3.6 BES is the problem -- upgrade to BES 4.0 and the File function will come back during wireless reconcilation (and it will actually wirelessly move between folders in your Outlook too)

You are probably right but the server upgrade is not my call. It is in the planning stage now. ( I supoport the devices and the desktop setup, not the server). I switched devices and the user actually stopped getting all email. Today's plan is to set up her email on a new PC and set up her original device. I will be doing this in the same location as the server admins. User is a few blocks away. If it still doesn't work they can call RIM with the device and PC in front of them.
We migrated all of the users at the main company I support to a 4.0 server this summer and it is great. Unfortunatly I can't put this user on that server.
