I had set my alarm the other day to wake me up at 7, only to wake up around 8 and find that my phone had never went off.

Since then, have reset the alarm and paid attention to it to find that it will display a message telling me that the set time has arrived and asking me to Dismiss, but will not make any sound whatsoever.

Then I got curious and called the phone to see if the ringer was working at all. It was set on loud, and advanced settings are set to vibrate + tone both in and out of the holster. It vibrates, but unfortunately it still refuses to ring.

I have another alarm but I prefer to use my phone (especially when traveling) and I'd really like to be able to HEAR my incoming calls/text messages. Any help would be appreciated.

Wierd issue.

The profile is set to ring and as long as the volume isn't set to mute it should sound off, but if you aren't getting any sound at all I got a few basic questions.

1. Have you removed a CODs?
2. What Operating System are you running?

As a last resort you might want to wipe your device with JL_CMDer and reload the Operating System.

Is it still under warranty to get a new one?

Any hard falls since the last time you heard it ring?

Mine does the same thing; vibrates and won't ring. I'll have to mess with the settings.

My bb 8320 does not ring only vibrate, I install new firmware but not ring.

When I want watch a video the audio is god!, hen I want listen one mp3 I can listen, but when I want change the profile I cannot listen the ring.

what I have to do?

Blackberries are famous for requiring the "take battery out, wait for 30 secs and put back in" procedure to reset things. Give it a try if you have not yet.
