Can't access a 3gp file

I am hoping someone can help me here. I have a file in my saved messages I discovered from a while back. It has a 3gp file attached to it. I realize I can't open and view these files on blackberry but when I try to forward it to my email to view on pc, there is no attachment on the receiving end.
I don't get an option to save the file anywhere else on my bb, my options are reply, open, forward & delete.
The file is clearly in the bb somewhere, how can I get this to another device like my pc? Is there a way of surfing through to the depths of the bb memory and locating this file?
