Default How to retreive Paswd when regular mechanism fails

Please Login to Remove!

Equipment: BB 9930

Attempting to remove the `sent from blackberry' baloney and following instructions found on these forums.. It involved going to the carrier page... when I do that I'm asked to login with UID and Paswd... well my passwd is failing... and of course I've lost track of the note I made and cannot verify it for sure.

Clicked the link there `forgot passwd?' and then have to insert PIN and MEID. Then I'm told an email has been sent to my device with a new passwd.

Well the message comes, but the part about a passwd is blank. Its just so ridiculous all I could do is laugh.

The message says:

-----=-----=-----=-----=-----=-----=-----=-----=-----=-----=-----

--Automatically generated email: Do Not Reply to this email --

You asked to have your password sent to your device.

Your password is:

-----=-----=-----=-----=-----=-----=-----=-----=-----=-----=-----

Ok, so now what? Every thing I've had to do from the start of setting up a blackberry account (email) has been ridiculously obfuscated and way way riddled with messy foolishness.

Is there not some fool proof way to retrieve a passwd that actually works?

I don't know what a Paswd is, but if you cannot remember your BIS log in information, then you need to call your carrier's Customer Support and they will reset the information for you.

You're right, that was a tough one. When you are asked to login on a site... you need a UID and a PAS_____... there are so many things that start `pas' that are involved in logging in. And especially hard since the whole word was spelled out in the letter I quoted. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to post such a nasty brain twister.

Shame on you, Devnull. The sarcasm you are blasting appeared in Motorcycle Mamas post as well. Never be biased in your critisism.

Shame on you, Motorcycle Mama. Passwd is an acceptable contraction of password. Misspelling it pasword is a minor mistake, your rebuke was far too strong.

Shame on you, Alonzop. Replying to sarcasm in kind is never a good way to solicite assistance, ignore it, and move on to others who will be kind in their responses.
NJBlackBerry is correct, the only way to fix this is to call your carrier and tell them you need to reset your "BIS portal login information". They should be able to help you get your password reset.

We do not use text speak here in the forums. There are many non-native English speakers who probably have no clue about what you are asking. Kindly use real words, not text speak or abbreviations. If you can't handle that, move to some place where you can text as much as you like.

If you want help, please leave the attitude at the door. It won't get you anything here.

Thank you.

In what language/country?

There was no rebuke in my post. I said that I didn't know what a "Paswd" was.

It's customary for anyone seeking assistance to post in a language understood by those from whom one is seeking assistance.

Is that what I said in my post.
