Default 9300 data drain

Please Login to Remove!

I'm on the Blackberry text and web where I pay £15 to get texts, bbm and 500mb of web data. For some reason I've started using nearly 100mb a day! I've never had this problem before and I don't have a clue why its happening. I don't watch any youtube videos or download anything and I have 5 apps that I hardly use and close down everytime after I use them. I even lost 15mb whilst my phone was switched off for 5hours. I've heard that opera mini uses less data when I browse online but if anything it uses more than the normal web browser. Could anyone tell me what's happening?

You should consider uninstalling all apps and re-installing one by one to see which is using your data. It's impossible for your device to use any data whilst it's off. Opera really won't help you all that much as BlackBerry devices compress data anyway.

Thanks for the advice, I've uninstalled all the apps and it doesn't seem to be making any difference. I'm still losing a lot of data even when I'm not using the phone.

Are you sure the phone was off? Pull the battery for a few hours and recheck. If you see usage then call your carrier if not then you still have an app running. recheck all the apps and make sure you delete all except the ones that come with the phone. You can also try an OS reload if you suspect a corruption.
