I have passed on my 8320 to my neice after many years of use but cannot tell her how to set up voicemail or to remove my old password (which I cannot remember. Can anyone advise?

Can't help with voicemail. She will have to figure that out. But you should do a security wipe from the handheld and let her set the device up from scratch. That will solve the password question, and may be also she will be prompted to set up voicemail during setup (but maybe not). And the security wipe will delete all of your personal information.
