Default Blackberry 7280

Please Login to Remove!

I am a senior who was playing with what I thought was my son's unused 7280 and did the 10 times password thing. When I told my son, He informed me he had data stored there and then he statred talking under his breath. I think I am in trouble. The 7280 will fuction, but the data is not available. Is there a restore function. The data has not been overwritten.
Is there someway he can recover his password protected data.
PS; I have trouble with voice mail on my cell.
In the doghouse.

Call BlackBerry and see, but from what I've always heard, the data has been wiped out. Take your son out for dinner!

...which, if he is syncing data to a pc, he will have on the pc.
I know there is nothing on my BlackBerry that I don't have somewhere else.

While i have not tried/tested it, and associate of mine indicated that he had found a way to reset the device and then just as it was coming up start teh application loader and perform a reload via the advanced button that allowed him to only reload the Apps on the unit and save the data.

In reality the only thing one should lose would be email since everything else can synch in. This is true unless you had groups defined, those puppies would be gone.... :(

Default Blackberry 7280

I talked to a friend and he told me, like a hard drive, delete just removes the pointers, not the data. He said it takes several overwrites before the data is gone. He said he did not know how to do it for a blackberry. My older son is the computor whiz. But he and his wife are expecting delivery of our first grandchild this week or next. Could you ask your associate for more details so I can ask my oldest son later to do it for me. My youngest son is no more able on the computor than I am.
That is why he does not have it backed up. I got my wife a newer cell phone followed by one for my mother in law, then me. You would laugh if you saw us retriving our voice mail.
