I have been using my camera alot, and have jsut ran into this problem. Yesterday my camera was working fine, it took normal .jpg photos.. i am not sure why but today it is taking .jpg.rem. I am getting pissed because i cannot view them in this format.

it's because they're being encrypted, goto options>advanced>media card>encrypt media files and select no.

uh, that's assuming you have a microSD card in there, oh and if wanna view the photos just change the file extention to .jpg

i just uploaded them to my computer, they are .jpg.rem. I tried changing them to .jpg it says the file is corrupted. Is there any other way to change .jpg.rem to just .jpg.

Sorry if i added any confusion I actually don't have encryption enabled. Thought I did.

I looked up .rem on google since that would be what i would do if I had this problem and this is what i found.. You dont have ACT on your computer or blackberry do you? ACT is kind of like Outlook its a business calendar contacts kind of program.

yea it is actually because of the encrypted media, i turned it off and it now saves as .jpg. I am just wondering how to convert the images that were taken as .jpg.rem to normal .jpg

By any chance did you take them encrypted, then turn it off, then try to download them via Mass Storage Mode? Perhaps you need to have the encryption on while you download them and then the Mass Storage Mode will decrypt them during the transfer?

(This is just a conjecture since others don't have the problem and you indicated that you had recently turned encryption off - I've never used encryption so I have no experience there...)
