Exclamation Can't get media card to detect on PC - Curve

Please Login to Remove!

Need some help.

I have a 2GB MicroSD in my Curve / 8300.

Card works fine as long as its in the phone. I can recognize ringtones, etc. etc. from the card on the phone.

When I connect the phone to the PC, the PC cannot detect this card.

MASS STORAGE is ON on the phone.

Roxio Media also cannot detect the card in the phone. All I see is "Device Memory"

Can someone shed some light on this situation? I'm brain dead, and can't think of anything else to do.

Do you have the adapter? Maybe you can hook the micro card into the adapter and connect to the pc like that to view the files and etc.

yes u can use the adapter, though u should be able to do it from the USB connection as well....others have mentioned exactly the same to me.

I cannot get it connected to the card alone via the usb but the card does get recognized when I have the bb desktop manager.

UPDATE......

Upon hooking the blackberry up via usb and then opening the blackberry desktop manager, it does have a pop up window leading to the memory card labeled blackberry. Dragging and dropping is easier there. I'll see if my trouble video works going into the curve this way.

This was the first time the window opened up for me, I've got the 4gb card now, but I just returned the 2gb about an hour ago and I never had a window open for me.

Its such a hassle taking it out of the phone, inserting it into the SD card transformer, inserting the SD card into the laptop, blaaahhh bllaahhhh blah!

Someone PLEASE help me solve this. I know someone's out there who knows exactly what's wrong... But just waaayyy too lazy to hit the reply button and help!

If mass storage is set to ON then Desktop Manager Media manager will NOT detect it. It will show up as a drive in "My Computer." Turn Mass Storage off if you want to use it in Media Manager. I believe with the latest Desktop Manager 4.2 SP2 the card will show up in the new Media manager from Roxio if Mass Storage is on. Hope this helps.

It used to show up in MY COMPUTER as a drive on my 8100 / Pearl. It does not do so on the Curve.

I'll try to turn OFF the mass storage mode and see if Roxio picks it up.
