is their a program that runs with gps and tells you how fast your driving and knows what the speed limit is on that street.

i am looking for something to beep when im going over the speed limit .

I use TeleNav but it doesn't know what the speed limits are for individual streets. That would be a nice feature, though, I must admit. I don't know of an app for BB that does that.

TeleNav notes your speed, but I don't think it has a warning. Same with BBTracker. I don't think either 'knows" the speed limit on your street.

That is when your knowledge of the locals laws and your speedometer come into play.

Nav4All can indicate the speed limit and show when you exceed it.

No satnav software knows the speed limits. Navteq data has a road type and the software knows the jurisdiction's range of speeds by type. Actual speed limit may vary.
