I've downloaded a few themes for my pearl but when I go to themes they aren't there.

The downloads are finishing and I'm not sure what is happening to them?
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong..

If your downoading OTA (over the air) instead of using a zip file on your PC, then yo'll have to do a battery pull (or Reset if you have that program). After your phone reboots, go back into themes and they'l be there.

Also make sure that the themes are compatible with your OS on the BlackBerry, or they might not show up.

I downloaded two from AT&T media net and my OS didn't recognize them so make sure your OS is up to date.

I didn't think about that! You gotta keep your OS as up to date as possible!

I'm having this exact problem..and at the risk of sounding dumb (just got the phone) how do I keep my OS up to date? is OS my computer's operating system?

The latest BlackBerry operating systems are sticky threads on the top of each device forum. So if you go to the 8100 forum you will see the latest OS for the Pearl. There are also instructions for installing the OS.

If you want to update your OS, you would follow the instructions here. If you don't follow the instructions exactly as posted, don't try it.

I can tell you are frustrated. My recommendation would be get your themes settled and figured out, don't worry about updating the OS if everything is working fine. Go take the time to enjoy your new BB.
