I have an 8100 right now and have been looking for a handheld gps. i have recently discovered the 8800 is gps enabled, but have heard about 50,000 stories regarding tmobiles gps service with the bb. i hate carrying around my puck and making sure i have another gadget charged up. does anybody have a definitive answer on tmobiles service, or if i can get an unlocked one from another carrier? thank you

What's the question? Does the T-Mobile 8800 have GPS? Yes. Does it work out of the box. Yes. Telenav costs $9.99/month extra, but the GPS works fine with other programs.

You don't have to use Telenav. Though I do recommend it over the other GPS apps that I've tried (you pretty much seem to get what you pay for).
