Question Infrastructure Design Guides?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I'm trying (and struggling) to find any guides on how to design a BES infrastructure outside of the standard single server install which is present in the install guide.

The kind of possibilities I'm interested in are load balancing / clustering, running multiple BES servers, DR etc....

Not sure if these are even possible, but if they are I'd like to read up on what the possibilities are and how to achieve them.

Thanks

There is no clustering or load balancing for BES.

For DR take a look at

Allegedly its in 5.0 which is not going to be ready for WES...

I agree with the recommendation for nevefail..

There are some options for redundancy for.instance you can point multiple servers to your single bes sql database

where you run into issues is with your srp or licensing only one server per srp can talk to the rim infrastructure at a time otherwise they will shut you down

so you either buy two srps or you set up your secondary server identical to the primary but stop all bes services on the secondary. if the primary dies you start the services and let the secondary do the work

you can also do this on a virtual server

i may have more info on this i can dig up if your interested
