Default E-Mail delay and old messages

Please Login to Remove!

Hi. New to the forum but have been lurking for a while. I apologize for the long post and if this has been covered before but I couldn't find it while searching.

My boss recently got a Blackberry Curve. I had his corporate e-mail set up using BIS. He would complain about the delay in receiving messages and having to sync his other stuff using his PC.

I installed Blackberry Manager v4.1.4.15 (free for 1 user), set it up on our Exchange 2003 server and as far as I know it is up and running.
I successfully activated his phone and sync'ed his stuff.

The problem is that there is still a delay in receiving e-mail on his device. Every other aspect of our Exchange server is working properly, including ActiveSync on Windows PPCs.

Did I need to delete his corporate BIS e-mail account on the device and start from scratch before activating his device with our server?

Also, is there a way to receive mail in other folders besides Inbox? I can see his other folders on the device but there are no messages in them, only in Inbox.

Yes, you should delete the BIS account completely, and activate his device on your new BES.

Yes, you set this up using folder redirection after the device is successfully activated on the BES.
On the BlackBerry:
Messages > Options > Email Settings > click menu button > Folder Redirection
