I have to re-ask this question, so I don't mess up my phone. I downloaded the new OS and everything is fine except I lost my internet and Cingular browser. Now I know I have to go to "options-advanced options-host routing table." Now my question is do I register any of the Cingular and the numbers that are right beside it or the one that is highlighted in BOLD?

Thanks and Happy Holidays

No when you do that it will create a new entry so you dont have to to choose anything.

Thanks I appreciate it. I just registered the first one listed on the table and both browsers came back.

Thanks again for the quick reply

I think I see some of the upgrade features, but when I go to "About" on my berry, it still say 4.1.0.377. And I lost both my BB and Internet browsers. Tried a search, couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance everyone.

507 means no OS loaded on the device. Plug it back in to the computer, run Application Loader in DM and it should load the OS. I assume you installed the OS download to your pc AND deleted the vendor.xml before starting the upgrade?

nope! I did not delete the vendor.xml file before the upgrade. I couldn't even find it. Missed that part.

Unfortunately, I can't get the device to connect to my PC at all to have the application loader reinstall the OS. Am I screwed?

Yep....it's done. box it up and send to me.

no, j/k.

The DM won't recognize it until you run Application Loader. That's normal. Give it a try.

I seriously think it is done....I have tried the application loader multiple times to no avail. It will not detect the device at all. Should I not be using DM 4.2?

USB is not even an option in the application loader screen at this point, only COM1

Maybe give it a clean wipe with JL_CMDER. Then try it again. Are you plugging it in directly to the computer? No Hub?You should also check your USB Root Hubs in Device Manager in windows and make sure that windows isn't powering off the device.
