I currently have BB Alerts on my device. I intend to change to a new blackberry device and was wondering how I get this on my new blackberry without having to purchase it again.

Care to explain this further? What is a "false alert"? I've been using this program for a couple of months without issues.

Cant quote my next response, but here's a link to the post, which contains the actual message that I get up to 4 times a day (sometimes at 5am, very annoying) http://www.blackberryforums.com/401949-post218.html

and there is also this:

I'd also like to point out that I think this is a great program, I gladly paid for it, I just wish I didn't have these annoyances..

Talking I'm sold!

Just got my Verizon 7130e last week and I was very disappointed that it did not contain a provision for an audible alert when I missed a call.

I tried BB Alerts yesterday and after a few hours I was convinced that this little gem of a program is the missing link, so I bought it!

Works great - Thank you Logan!

I purchased the 1.2 version over a month ago. I have read this topic over and over and i cannot find a working link to version 1.3.

Can someone be so nice as to put up or guide me to a working link please?

There is a minor bug in the 1.3 version with respect to profiles so maybe Logan took it down.

I found the link in the forum, but can't seem to access it. Is this what you are saying as well?

The download link is http://74.119.5.86:8080/BlackBerryAlerts.jad as can be found in several posts in this thread. The server, however, has not been available since sometime in December.

I believe he hosts it from his home PC, so most likely it hasn't been turned on for some time (e.g., he's been on vacation). Or, since he most likely has a dynamic IP address, he may have been assigned a new one.

Hi, I took over development of this app and just setup a temporary server for OTA (not sure how static this ip will be):

Version 1.2:
74.109.150.12:8080/12/BlackBerryAlerts.jad

Version 1.3
74.109.150.12:8080/BlackBerryAlerts.jad

There are a few bugs in 1.3, no ETA yet on a fix:
-Separate Profiles does not work
-Schedule option does not work for LED control
-Also need an option to ignore SMS messages intended for applications

Thanks for the update BByMel. Are the issues in 1.3 actively being pursued? How's Logan, everything alright?

I knew I was not crazy. About a page or two back in this thread I posted on how wacky BB Alerts got for me when I upgraded to the 1.3 version. I spent a week with it almost all day trying to get it to work correctly. I posted my frustrations with the version and ended up going back to version 1.2.

I just upgraded to .88/.71 and now the LED will only alert in red. Anyone else have problems going to .88 with Blackberry Alerts?

I have been trying to get this app on my Pearl for a week now. I have a mac and downloaded the trial from Handango then tried to install it with pocketmac. It didn't seem to really work right so I uninstalled it :(
I tried the OTA's that are listed a few posts above...but they don't work. Anyone have an updated link for an OTA download?

Server should be up right now, was having some problems today I think.

Also there is a first draft of a setup guide available here for anyone having basic problems, http link:

Default Not working

I just installed ver 1.3 on a 7100(OS is 4.1) and got the following error: Uncaught exception: Module with handle [1915] and index [0] has no application entry point.

The program says it installed successfully, but I am not able to bring up BB Alerts in the Profile list.

Any help/suggestions would great.
