Just saying hi...

I've been a data support rep for a wireless provider and have been working with blackberries for a while now. RIM just did a contest for us and I won a pearl, so I can now join the ranks of the blackberry users.

Regarding the Site

As a longtime BlackBerry users I upgraded to a new BlackBerry and wanted to ask questions on forums, then realizing that there are no forums organzied enough or existant for blackberry users to ask questions, or just generally chat regarding the Blackberry, so this here forum opened its doors within 6 or so hours of coding, on August 15, 2004, and launched Sunday August 16, 2004.

The forum growth is overwhelming, and extremely impressive for a site that has only been existance for as long as it has.

Guess - I am a Computer Engineering Student @ Conestoga, and run the Series of BlackBerryClub websites, as well as Guess Hosting Inc, I am also a car and car audio enthusiast, as well as a quad enthusiast.

I barely found this site while looking around for things to fix my 8100. I went on the frits and well I had to gut it and clean it out fo rit to start working again. Although I do have a couple problems still, I can uyse my phone finally.

I'm new to the whole BB phones but I am tech literate... somewhat. I'm a graphic designer. The irony is that last semester I just finished making an interface for a cell phone. I'm hoping that I can understand the coding more and do up my own BB 8100.

I would appreciate it if someone can tell me how I can get weather ID's. I installed BB Weather but can't find the correct ID. I tried weather.com and took the zip and alpha code to no avail

Angry What No Coverage!

Would you happen to know how I would be able to get insurance on my blackberry 8310. I am currently a AT&T subscriber, who has no insurance on my newly purchased device. Are there any outside companies that will insure my phone. I have looked online, called my car insurance company and talked to AT&T. Please if you can or even know of someone who can, refer me to them.

Thank You So Kindly,
ngomaj12
