For the most part the Pearl was aimed towards the general consumer. The student, soccer mom, etc. I don't believe you'll find many CEO's or any form of executive for that matter using a Pearl.

I definately understand that, but that's why I said "I don't believe you'll find many." There are probably some out there but not nearly as many as those who use say the 8700.

Undergrad and loving this phone. When I told my friends I got a BlackBerry last month, they thought I was crazy and the whole, "Why would you need one?," criticism came in. Needless to say, when they finally saw the phone, they were in a world of awe. Haven't had a phone this great, well.. ever.

MBA student on this end
This is my first Blackberry and I LOVE it. It helps me stay on top of all my assignments as well as keep my interviews in check. Also, TMobile is DEAD at my parent's house when I visit (and they are also stuck with dial-up *shudder*). However, I get to pull a Cingular signal when I visit and don't miss my emails & work as a result!
Definitely in love here!

Thanks fo the input!
I guess I was curious to see if there were other non-CEO types because like many others pointed out - I did get a little bit of criticism when I got my BB. Like, "why do you need all that?" "it's too much" (overkill), etc. But once all my friends started to see how nice it was to stay organized - they were hooked. I even got an Acendo program to help w/the budget (I LOVE IT) What can't this thing do? ;)
As far as the workout thing goes - some of you pointed out you've got ipods that work good for that - so, I'm looking into that now. It's just that I use the Pearl for just about everything else - so I wanted to see if it was something others have done.
Oh, and Go DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your question pertained to the Pearl, not BlackBerries in general, right?
While I am surrounded by professionals [judges, lawyers, CEO's], I can tell you that none of them have said my phone was cool nor that they had to have it. While all of them have BlackBerries, none of them were impressed when I showed them the video function.
They all think I'm goofy for playing videos. They did like that it was a BB device that was way smaller than what they were all toting. But none seemed impressed enough to even ask the price or how they could get one.
So that is a report from the professional side of the cell phone/BB users.
Sidenote: All of my colleagues are not that active or with it in terms of technology. They think BlackBerry e-mail service is amazing and I am not too sure any of them know what MP3 files are, that is, compared to their CD's.

Hahaha! This made me laugh - so great!
It's funny that having a Pearl seems to make me a little more "with it" I'm still in my 20's but can't help but feel a little out of the loop because I still don't know how to really use the text message feature... I guess I'll leave that to the more hip crowd...
ROTFWL
Oh, and yes, I was talking about the pearl - for the most part. I don't think the other BB's have the same multimedia functions? I'm still a little new to the forums and just wanted to meet others like me... Thanks again for all the posts. Everyone has been so great!

I am a part time student and I have a good paying job considering the type of work I do.
If I didn't have that job, I will never got the Blackberry. I will just use a cheap cell phone.

I am 18 and got my Pearl two weeks ago! Woot woot! I love it, it's awesome. I'm also a college student, first year. I basically wanted to get a BB because...it looks cool, and...all the celebrities have them. =O I can't believe I'm telling you guys this.
