I just checked the net_rim_bb_vvm.alx file and the vendor codes are 100, 114 which are both T-Mobile (US, DE) and then 13... which I'm not sure what is for. But yeah, I guess that's interesting that it's no more listed for AT&T?

Firmware 5.0.0.90
For those looking to upgrade, so far all I see is the loss of the Internet Browser. I am thinking my carrier AT&T doesn't have a Service Book for this OS yet. So I default to the Blackberry Browser which gateways through my BES at the office which is heavily restricted and bandwidth limited at our corporate firewall. But I can fix that, just another IP hop the Bold has deal with.
However, the loading screen on bootup is nice, boot is faster and Web Page Rendering is MUCH faster.

I believe that Visual Voice Mail is now available to more carriers than before. Especially if your carrier is not AT&T

The music player is nicer. In the list of categories, it shows how many are in each. Also when playing music, it displays the album art larger to the left and the info on the right side of it. And they also fixed the skip-previous bug they have in the later 4.6 OS versions. Shazam confirmed working. It didn't at first, but once I restored all my stuff, it worked again. So I'm sure a new install of it would probably work fine.

So with 5.0 being leaked, is it likely that carriers currently have it to fiddle with?
Or are RIM not releasing it to carriers for a while, and therefore any "official" is likely to be a good few months away?

Sling Player Mobile doesn't work.
I get an "Error starting SlingPlayer: Module 'SlingPlayer-4' attempts to access a secure API."
It was working perfectly on my previous OS.

Assume that there are new APIs, and most (if not all) 3rd party applicatons will need to be recompiled.

Yeah, that definitely sucks. Especially since the 5.0 jde isn't available yet? I assume that's needed for compiling code, right?
So flicking around this OS, it seems very fast, very responsive. Data seems to load (over the air) a lot quicker in general in all apps that do it (the ones that still work). I'm really liking the Media changes. The deal breaker right now is that live messenger doesn't work on it =( The only thing on my "can't live without" list that doesn't work. Looks like I'll be going back to 4.6.0.247 for now.
I am pretty excited about this one; I hope it gets out fairly quickly. Seems 'relatively' bug-less. Assuming they just continued on with a good working version of 4.6 or something. *wishes live messenger worked*

Wirelessly posted (Hey I'm cool…)
I think everyone needs to realize it is a very new Beta and most apps are for 4.6 and 4.7 os's is it worth having a new os and no apps, not to me. Ill wait for awhile.

My number one favorite app as far as everyday use is Viigo...so until it a usable app on 5.0 and the browser glitch is corrected in a legit build...I'll stay put with 4.6.0.247 which is working fine for me...
And, if you haven't noticed already...unless the Visual Voicemail app is deleted from the build (using CrackMem or something similar), then you will lose your native Voicemail notification icon...and that sucks.

The alarm clock display position in the clock application is now centered. It used to be left aligned to the edge of the screen.
