If you never recieve that email then it can be a few things:

Spam filter or rules on Exchange
Rules/filters in Outlook moving the email

Either way it's something in your environment. You can try using a third party email for the activation, the BB won't activate but the email will still be sent. It will give you something to look for. Gmail or Yahoo should be fine to test with.

Once that is fixed then the EA should work fine.

Thank you very much for your help. The possible issue with outlook/permissions is being looked into now, in the meantime I activated the device by connecting it directly to BES.
