Yup, security is security - it would be pretty bad if BT bypassed that somehow! Putting it on the USB if BT works seems like additional unnecessary step/effort to me. Why would pulling it off your belt or out of your pocket and hooking up via the cable be an improvement over syncing wirelessly?

I only sync via USB if I'm already connected via USB for some other reason. (And hope to switch entirely to OTA sync when the BBerrySync BIS OTA sync product goes live.)

Thanks to McKinney but me it didn't work for me, the final solution for HP notebooks is as following:

- As I have low Nº of points in this forum, I have to give this instructions to get to the link:
- Type in google "bth.inf hp" an click the first link from the search results, you will get to an official HP support homepage where you have exact instructions to modify the bth.inf file.
