Dawg,
It came with a nylon holster...seems to hold ok, but I have ordered the leather one...maybe a little tight leather sleeve will ensure retention?!?!?
Also, it dod come withthe eired headset that the 7520 had...so you can cancel the call with the headet button I am also using the 250v for my BT headset...seems to work ok. I haven't had anyone comment on background noise, we'll see where it goes tomorrow.
http://www.eaccess-estore.com/store/...category_id=34
has some nice options for holsters with retention abilities.

Mine didn't come with a desktop cradle....
Not sure about the headset issue. It looks as if there is room for the "outer ring" thats required for PTT on the headset though. If anyone finds out for sure, please post back!!

I havent tested it, but my documentation clearly explains how to do group connect. I'll test it soon.

Anyone having issues with the device not vibrating when its in the holster? For some reason, mine doesn't want to do it.... There doesn't seem to be any magnet in this holster like the old ones used to shut off the screen and so on....

Nextel has claimed they'll be releasing more themes shortly. Right now, there's the icon theme and a list theme, but thats it.... Its not much different from the other 7100 series really--if you were thinking of going that route, there's no need to switch carriers now....

Thanks all for chiming in....this is a great info resource, and thanks martin_j001 for providing the pics....keep the posts coming!!
Now has anyone been able to get the 7100i to work as a modem as per the Guide? (see http://www.blackberryforums.com/show...hp?t=2019)...I would love for someone to try.
Also, I'm eager to switch to the 7100i from my 7520, but I'm worried that Sprint will come out with an EVDO capable 8700 (which may or may not work as a modem with my computer).....anyone have thoughts on that?

I figured it out--the magnet is in a weird spot, and the device goes into the stock holster screen-out contrary to the standard bb's. I'll have to see if I can move that little magnet inside the case to get it working right....or just get a new case!

For those of you on Exchange Servers - Where is the HANDHELD Software for this device. I will be picking mine up this afternoon and can't find the software anywhere. If you go to https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...B9D5EE16489088 it doesn't list the 7100i.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

I am contemplating switching from Nextel i730 to 7100i,
couple of questions- anybody had luck getting contacts from i730 or simular to a nextel BB?
Is the bluetooth better than the 7520 ( loudness)?

The handheld has the software on it.. Am i missing something?
Are you talking about the desktop software? I believe it works with the latest version 4 desktop software, or if on a BES 4.0 server, wireless enterprise activation..

Hey, there is a way to move contacts--check out the "Nextel BB FAQ" that I linked in my signature as there's a bit of a description on how to do it in there. You need to add Nextel's online address book feature to your i730, send your contacts to online address book, then export from online addressbook to a .csv file, then import into MS Outlook. After that, sync and you're going....
BT does seem a little more clear--loudness will have much to do with what headset you use--my Jabra BT250v is almost always too loud even at the lowest volume....

Anyone happen to know if the following holster will fit the 7100i?
http://www.eaccess-estore.com/store/...g.asp?item=217
My 7100i was just dropped off about 2 hours ago - once I get used to suretype I think I am really going to enjoy the phone. Although the holster is pretty much a joke.
As a side note, this was by far the easiest upgrade I have ever done through Nextel - and I switch phones as much as possible!
