AT&T is the most recent, you can download in the first post..

german tmo firmware is the most recent...dutch file is 4.2.2.89 , tmo file is 4.2.2.90.... i wonder if it's worth to downgrade to unlock the themes....

i just got a curve about 10 minutes ago. ..and am trying to see what's new about this.. i know there's no details regarding this update yet but my blackberry says 4.2.2.89 (Platform 2.4.0.39) so i'm assuming this is essentially the same and there is no need for me to upgrade correct?

Most People are only upgrading to unlock/install difffernt themes.

I am using an AT&T 8300 on t-mo. Have t-zones, BB browser -- everything working fine. I cannot find the blackberry.alx file for the 8300 on my PC. A couple of questions.....

1. Does the file only appear if you made a modification to it? If so, see below...if not, where is it? (its not in program files/common files/research in motion/shared/ loader files)

2. If you do load a new alx file and you are unhappy with the results, can it be removed with the application loader and will the 8300 revert back to the original? If not, I am concerned about "tinkering" since my 8300 works perfectly and I only want new themes.
