*NOOB ALERT*

I have a Mitel PABX, and a SIP server, will this work for my BB, to use it as a normal IP Phone?

I don't see why not. It works with Asterisk, FreeSwitch, and a host of SIP commercial services.

Good cant wait........... well done.

Just one more question, what BB supports this? Or easier does the 8310 Curve support SIP?

8310 won't do it. Too slow.

Default Would like to try the beta

Is it possible to try the beta on my BB Bold?

So I will also test SIP compatibility with free.fr (freebox - french dsl provider - inventor of the "box" concept with triple play offers - it provides all its customers with an SIP account) and SFR network (vodafone in France) unlimited data plan.

You can run it on all the GSM phones that's fast enough.

First off, a heartfelt congrats to you! This is the only app that -in my opinion- the entire, non-corporate, BB community needed and which could make the BBs a more appealing solution these days.

Looking forward to BT your product Av.. I have a curious question which perhaps has been answered, if so just disregard, but why are you locking the utility to be used only in wifi? Thanks!

We have decided to let the user do whatever they want with the demo/beta app for a few months. That means you can use WIFI or OTA.

I would like to use the beta and try it out. I am running a SPA9000 switch at home and have been looking for a SIP client for the blackberry. I am running a bold 9700 on AT&T 3G network. What is the link to download?

Hi folks,
Many people have PM me asking the time frame of BlackVoib demo/beta release. Let me just repeat that information here and I won't answer any more question of that nature via PM.

The office release of BlackVoib for public demo/beta is June 1st, 2010.

Hi. I too am eagerly awaiting the release of BlackVoib to use on my BB Bold 9700. I am currently trying out Vippie for BlackBerry (callto.net/wp/?page_id=816) but I like that BlackVoib will be able to use alternative SIP providers. I already use sipgate with my SPA941 desk phone and would like to add my BB to this service. BlackVoib looks like the ideal solution and I can't wait to try it soon.
Thanks!

Hi,

I like to become a beta tester. We run a Sipcat PBX (Asterisk).
I would appreciate if you send me the download link, when the bet aversion is available.

Thanx!

Hi,

More than happy to contribute financially and as a beta tester. I have an office full of BB phones, and messy hard wired sip phones - would be great to get rid of all the desktop phones and just have the BB's...
