I just downloaded and installed. Everything seems to be working fine EXCEPT it's not recognizing my media card. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem as you Cntdwn... I was running DM 4.6 with Vista on my laptop and followed all the appropriate steps and it didn't work at all. I finally took my phone to work and installed the upgrade there. At work I have DM 4.5 with XP SP2... worked like a charm.

Default Weird Issue

I installed this OS and I got a weird issue. When someone calls me and I answer, the phone goes to speaker mode at first. After a second or two switches the sound to the handset. This is really annoying especially when you get a call in a quiet place. You hear all the background noises from the other caller. So after a few days I went back to my original ver. 4.3
I do not know if someone else has experienced the same issue, and if it has had they find a fix for it....

I've seen that off and on, seemingly regardless of OS. I have 4.5.0.77 installed and am not experiencing that problem at the moment...

yeah im having the same problem right now. it went away when i upgraded to .66 but .77 brought it back :/

not that big of a deal to me thou.

i do have an issue with my media card thou... i think i need to reload my OS cause my media card will not be recognized by my phone for more than a few seconds. once i put it in it gets scanned then i try to open a file but it says unable to open file media/blackberry/picture/whatever. it really frustrates me. i have reformatted my card and deleted all the bbthumbs files and all that but still nothing. my upgrade was a little scratchy so im hoping reloading the OS will help, but if anyone has any other idea that would be cool

Sorry. Here's what I did. Not sure which one worked, but one did. First, the ever-famous battery pull. I also put my media card in my computer using the adapter and copied all my info into a folder I created and then copied it back. *shrug*

Default Battery Life

I will pay more attention & repost, but it seems like battery life has taken a hit after upgrading to 4.5.0.77. I will monitor & make sure no network active apps are running.

Since upgrading to 4.5.0.77 I've noticed BETTER battery life but less free memory. Could be docs to go but I went from an average of 15MB free to 10MB free. Otherwise it seems very stable. I really like docs to go. I had to stop using the Dimension Today Plus theme because each time I reboot I lose the folders I've created as well as the order of the icons. I could live with no folders but it's a pain to have to rearrange the icons after each battery pull.

I have an 8100, and I've upgraded my FW from 4.2 through the gauntlet of OS versions up to 4.5.whateverthehellitisnow. I've never really had a problem.

I upgraded my friends 8130 last night with this FW, and her camera doesn't work. Well, let me be more specific. The music we put on her card is still there, but all her pictures are black. The preloaded pictures was understood, but the regular pictures she copied to her card are black. I can't seem to find anyone with a similar issue, so I figured I would post here.

I'm going to reinstall the OS again and see if it changes. Could be user error. I'm not going to rule out how retarded I may or may not be.

Thanks in advance!

Blake

Blake, remove the media card and look at the pictures via card reader on the USB, see if they are still black there.

There was an issue with earlier versions of 4.5 regarding formatting the SD card in the 4.5 OS. You might want to try that. Copy your media over to your PC first though!!

I figured out the seek step problem when watching videos on the 8130 pearl. currently, i have three episodes of Cops on a 1GB card. Each video is on average, 22 minutes long. when playing it i seek, the seek stepping is about 1 minute, however, if you hold down the alt key while scrolling the trackball, the seek is a much more pleasurable 5 seconds, no matter how long the video!!!!

Just to double-check, i just loaded the movie, Never Back Down, which is about 1 hr 23 minutes long, and although, it didn't play because of the resolution its encoded at, the timer and the seek function still works, 5 second seek if you hold down the alt key while scrolling the trackball. Noice!!!!!
