I don't know if it was the Viigo beta (which I really like - interface, weather, sports - by the way), but some software, or a combination of software and plazma themes resulted in a series of 523 errors. I followed the instructions elsewhere on this site to get back up and running smoothly. However, I'm going to sit on the sidelines waiting very patiently until the new Viigo is officially released (just in case).
I'm wondering if anyone else experienced the same 523 errors. (It might help me to isolate whih program caused the 523's).

No app error 523's here.
What themes are you using? I only use the TMo Zen. 3rd party themes can cause this kind of thing.

Prior to the 523's, I had loaded BB Dimension Today Plus, Rogers, Some themes from Themes4BB.com (Matrix, BB Vista Black, iScribble), EVeek's - now free - OSX. I was sending & receiving MMS's and also downloaded BB 9000 Today theme (from Themes4BB). I noticed the header of that theme was blank (and have considrable comments in a thread there). Others didn't experience the 523s.
Until yesterday, I had a hobby of checking for new themes, installing & removing older ones or those that didn't work for me. I sense (from a comment on another thread here) that isn't a good practice.
Today, I have the Today Plus, Rogers, Matrix & BB Vista Black - each of which were stable for a considerable period of time.

One big Viigo issue, wanted to comment, hear if anyone else has this.
Saw the Sports option, I thought this option was AMAZING. I used to load it on BB Browser, but I'd always have to go to my bookmark, the auto-reload didn't work long enough, but the refresh was fine, and I made do with it.
This looks like it could be better, and maybe it's partially b/c of the data thing (saving money on peoples' data, update less often) but it's almost ALWAYS behind everything else, until I update it. I thought the point was to not have to update it???
Secondly, they show YESTERDAYS scores first, and when I'm trying to follow today's game, it updates and throws me on top so I have to scroll ALL the way down (West Coast DODGERS fan )

It's a nifty enough program, but I had hopes that Viigo would have at least found a way to add spacebar scrolling in this release. I know, it's still in beta and could make it into the final release. For now, it's a dealbreaker for me and why I will be staying with NewsGator. It has everything else I like, but the spacebar issue drives me up the wall.

I agree with the sports comment in that it would be nice if the most current scores remained on top.

It does allow for spacebar scrolling, at least it does on my 8700 running 4.2.1, unless I don't understand what you mean by spacebar scrolling.

Thanks for all the comments folks.
Please remember this is BETA software.
RE: ordering of sports scores. when a game begins today, yesterday's scores should move to the bottom, below today's games.
RE: update time of sports scores: this will be determined by how often you set your updates to; however, if you refresh the channel, you should see near real-time scores, if a game is in progress.
RE: emailing articles to contacts and not being able to select a secondary email address: yes, this is a known issue and has to do with RIM's APIs. RIM is aware of the issue.
RE: spacebar and page down (scrolling). Yes, you can use space bar, but only on certain screens. (For example, on the 'list of articles in a feed' screen and 'full article' screen. But not on the 'article summary' screen).
Thanks again all.
Please keep the feedback flowing!
Pete

Can you comment on the reports about 'update all feeds' above? Is the report true, not true, kind of true? If true, are there any plans/discussion about changing it to truly update ALL feeds? IMO, if someone does not have an unlimited data plan, they should not be using any RSS feed reader.

For whatever reason after about 6 hours, my phone would have 0 bytes available. After a reboot, I would be back to 4mb free.
So after a few days, I decided to remove Viigo 3 beta and free memory has been solid.
Guess with my current firmware of 4.3.0.115 a memory leak issue between the two exist. So I am back on 2.2.82. :(

Beta is pretty solid.
I notice some of my channels respond to the update all and others only respond when I update them individually.

See my post, above. This may be because "less popular" channels don't get updated on Viigo's servers very often. An "update all" (or automatic update) relies of the Viigo server's cache. Individual updates go to the source server.

I'm having the same problem. BIG slowdowns on my BB with this new version installed.

If you're running your device with only 4Mb free after a reboot you will have problems with whatever applications you try to run. You need to free up some memory.

Interesting. Some of my channels are obscure but some are rather mainstream. For example, it wil update my elementary school blog but not Breaking news from Fox News

I am in the same boat akosnitzky... it wont update the Consumerist for me and several others that I would consider pretty mainstream.

Has anyone heard anything about the beta starting? Did they already pick the people for beta testing ?. Is this the only beta release so far ?
