I got the 507 code. After that, I started the App Loader but I never get thE BB connected. I received the code 561 in the BB screen.

What can I do to solve this issue?

Same error here. I have tried different versions probably 4-5 times now, and can't get past the 561 error. Going back and installing 4.2.1.74 works fine everytime. Would love an answer to this.

Ya I get this too from time to time...a soft-reset usually fixes this. Not ure if it's OS related though...

hi i also get the same problem but when i try and restore to an earlier firmware or most recent one it asks me for a password to connect the device. its a little box that pops up and shows USB then pin, and asks for a password, i purchased my phone off of someone a bit ago and first time upgrading it.

Complete Blackberry n00b (and smartphone noob for that matter)... got my 8800 yesterday and first thing I did was upgrade the OS. Worked fine so far and I'm really enjoying this new phone.

Connect the BB, and open Desktop Manager. Then run application loader. It should detect the device and reload the OS. If not, then you may have a USB port issue with your computer. Make sure you're connecting directly to the pc and not using a hub.

Is spell check a feature of the new OS? I thought it was, but can't see it after updating my 8800.

I just saw a golf game for my blackberry and i was trying to install it. But on the Deskyop manager it begs me to do an "unupdate", back for the original program i had previous install from Vigo, if i uncheck it says remove the program. As i see that the blackberry don´t recognize the program i ask if there is another way for the Desktop manager don´t to nothing to the program and keep installing the game?
