Blackberry is going to have massive computer upgrades in 2Q2010 that will upgrade all of their servers for higher redundancy and availability. This will also drastically reduce the delays in emails, not only relating to outages, but in general and day to day functionality.

Able to send in Northern NJ. Still no receive. I have had BB srvc for 4 years now, this is first time I have been affected for more than a couple hrs. Its amazing how people are so quick to trash talk a service if there is an outage. Way less issues with RIM/Sprint vrs other providers I have had in the past.

Same here on Sprint network in Los Angeles -- can send but not receive, and no send or receive confirmations, either.

Man, talk about coincedence. I just upgraded my OS on my 8330 last night about 2am. Got up this morning and thought something was screwed up in the upgrade, since I hadn't received any emails.

As far as outages, this is the first outage I've had and I've been on Blackberry for more than a year. My service is with AllTel.

At noon EST on Thursday, Dec. 17, no e-mail reception in my part of S.C., though I can still send.

Last message received was at 1:32 a.m.

SMS seems to work fine.
