If you would have installed it via ALX/COD (not included with the 4.0.2 installation BlackBerry.alx), then you could have simply deleted it from Applications (if loaded that way) or the appropriate Modules listing.
If you installed via BlackBerry.alx (included with 7290 and 7100 installations; uncommenting or adding a vendor ID would have been necessary to invoke the optional themes), then you would need to re-comment those entries or remove the vendor ID and then open Application Loader, which would prompt you to update the Core Components (which would simply remove the theme COD file you commented).
And lastly, you could have used JavaLoader to remove the module.
In other words, doing a wipe and reinstalling the OS was a bit over-the-top in order to simply remove a theme. You wouldn't have had to do that drastic of a step to do so. I would say that anyone reading this thread needs to realize that the removal of themes by the means of the above poster was unnecessary (no offense to him/her).
