That's definitely ludicrous, technically very unlikely, and financially unsound.

Hey Frisco, I too dabble in video, what forums do you frequent in that arena if you don't mind?

Blast- pm me if you'd like.

I don't think everyone is. I think I am one of a few others, if any, who bought one.

I've lurked on this thread and couldn't resist ordering one too. Probably others as well. You ordered a couple of days ahead of me. Looking forward to your report when it arrives.

Ah, you took the bait.

BTW, props for having the best Loony Toons episode ever on your site, if that is your site.

Yeah, that's my Site, more a place I just try things out. I can watch that toon over and over, never gets old. Note: I don't think that is a Looney Toon, it's a Merrie Melodie.

Thanks

I use a 2gb card which has ample space for my needs but it just takes forever to access photos, etc. Could anyone please explain how to defrag the card?

Thanks!

If I read this thread properly, no one has demonstrated (i.e. provided screenshots, etc.) that the 4GB card is possible on a pearl.

No threats that I know of but you are correct. No one has provided proof other than to say what I said was NOT proof, simply saying "It works on mine."

And the people who have said "It works on mine, what is all the fuss about" have taken a powder, meaning they have not provided proof, they simply vanished from the thread.

There are a few of us who have ordered the 4GB chip and will be posting the info. I expect mine any day now.

I, along with others, suspect that the chip will not work.

And IMHO no one has a 4GB chip working. My opinion is partly because no one who says theirs works will provide proof, but also because no one on the Net has confirmed this, other than with hearsay or BS. And lastly, I find it hard to believe RIM would not publicize that the Pearl has 4GB support. Plus why in April 2007 would RIM publicize the Curve as the "first Blackberry with 4GB support" if the Pearl was also 4GB compliant?

But stay tuned, half of me is hoping it works. But you know what they say about "hope." Hoping for anything is kind of useless and simply confirmation that we have no control on whether something happens or not. I don't like to hope for anything.

By the way, this is one of the few times where I "hope" that I am dead wrong.

Why would they lie?? If it was me and I was accused of lying (for no reason) I wouldn't post in here again, either. I have no reason to believe those that tried it lied.
