Just noticed one small change when upgrading to this version - when you send a text message to someone the check mark icon does not have the 'D' for delivered any longer. Of course, it does not change the functionality at all just something I noticed...

Go to advanced options/host routing table, hit menu, and say register now. When done, do a battery pull

It seems that on AT&T (and the others listed below) they hide the BBMaps icon with code in the LBS.alx file. I believe this can be edited out to show the icon and make it usuable on AT&T devices:

I believe if you remove the _vendorID......to look llike this you will get BBMaps to show on the device.

I don't have an ATT device so someone test this and let me know.
If you don't want to edit yourself you can replace your LBS.alx with the one I edited below.

I still get "D"'s on SMS. Go into Options >SMS Text and set Delivery Reports to "On."

Installed the new O/S with no problems. So far everything seems to be the same as with the previous Rogers O/S.

Has anybody noticed if when they send a text and it doesn't go through does the symbol go immediately to the red X, as in the past version, or does it keep the clock and keep trying to send?

Which options do you go into to find the "Delivery Reports"? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

To the at&t/Cingular customers who upgraded to this firmware ...

Does your PTT app run all the time now? It starts up automatically after a reboot/battery pull on my unit.

thats where i put it originally but when i hooked up my BB and synced it nothing installed.

I installed the new att version on Friday, no major bugs like the last 4.2.1 releases. The internet connectivity is back to normal and I haven't had to reboot all weekend for any reasons.

My TomTom 1 still won't connect through my pearl, not sure from previos threads if anyone was able to do this or not. (i can get bt to work, but not the tomtom+ stuff from the internet.)

just put this os on m pearl but for some reason i am not getting my emails. how do i fix this?

PTT was always showing up in my application switcher. Since I don't use PTT I followed John's instructions above on how to remove PTT from my phone.

Simply replace your LBS.alx with the edited one. Then run Application Loader. You will see no changes taking place, however, go all the way through the process. Hit Next, next, finish, etc. until it's done. That should put the icon on for you.
