Yeah, and a police officer in uniform holding the phone. I say we start a poll: will SF's 4gb card work?

I've just started following this thread and I see that someone has sent in a screen shot (thanks, BTW). For arguments sake, I'm going to make the assumption that at least the newer 8100s have the hardware to read the microSDHC media (mine is a refurb and probably can't). Of those that have a 4gig card, are you able to fill it beyond the 2g capacity?

thanks,

nb

In both law and science members in those disciplines demand proof, aka evidence.

And in these boards I think it's reasonable to expect the same, something more than "mine works." IMHO it would be nice so that other members don't waste their money on chips, etc.

Now on to that snapshot, I don't think we need more proof other than a pic of the phone and screen taken on top of today's newspaper. Together with the appropriate deposit to my PayPal account, as insurance.

Will this be for money? Can I participate? Maybe I can get my money back on the chip.

Interesting post by Fritter though. My "hope meter" has gone one nib past 50%.

Oh, if they're real good, they can post it with a newspaper dated in the future on whatever date the 4GB card will work.

Heading out to the mail in about an hour. I get private mail in my P.O. Box separate from the office. Have not had time to check it.

Yeah, there's a Frisco about 40 miles north of Silicon Valley too. Strange city. You gotta wear a costume to get in.

Default It Works

Will provide more details, but when at the post office, at great threat to life and limb because of the pigeons, I ripped open the package, put the chip into the Pearl and fired it up.

Proof of life below:

Running all kinds of tests, so far so good. Will publish results, with pics.

Most important:

My Pearl is a warranty replacement, sent to me by T-Mo in October 2006.

I installed the latest OS.

So that is fantastic news. Even the old phones have 4GB capability [old as in the original Pearls]. So Fritter was right on.

I claim it is all photoshopped! This is a SanDisk conspiracy started to make us Pearl users deal out the dollars!

Lies lies!
