Default How much power does the blinking LED take up???

Please Login to Remove!

Just wondering...

Lets say it blinks for 9 hours strait while I'm asleep. How much battery would that kill? 1%? 5%? If it's over 5-10% it's not really worth it. Talking bout that "BigTinCan" program.

Thanks.

Leds usually just don't use that much power.

Running that program probably takes more power :P

I don't know if anyone is going to be able to give you anything like a definitive answer. Programs that are left running or left to run in the background can be huge power hogs. Not all are, but enough that this is one of the first questions when someone complains about battery charge being depleted quickly. And there are other factors of your individual setup and useage that introduce variability. So, try it for yourself and see.

In your opinion. Is the BigTinCan program worth running? I like see the blinking LED's so I know what I missed.

I don't have an opinion. Never used it.

Have you googled it to see if anyone reports anything either way good or bad?

Generally speaking, I say give it a try if it is free, if it is from known and reputable source, and if you find no bad reports. You can always uninstall it.
