if i remember correctly, the drivers are not for the modem but for that software the emulates the com port. the modem gets installed with standard microsoft drivers.

From the very first post in this thread...
Supported BlackBerry Models
You must have a BlackBerry model 7100 or a model 7290, or a Nextel 7520. At this time, no successes are yet possible on older BlackBerry models, and may not ever be. This may change with a release of BlackBerryOS 4.0, but there are no guarantees.

Curious if anyone "tackled" the PPP 734 connect messages as of yet?
Even with these packages installed on my plan:
WIX EXTENDED INTERNET
DATA CONNECT ISP
WRLSS INTRNT XPRS PAY PER USE
It was explained to me by two different BB techs at Cingular that the WIX data connnect was replaced by "DATA CONNECT ISP" and this is now the correct package.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
- APN for ISP.CINGULAR is set in modem config extra options
- Username/password all set as the threads discuss for cingular APN access.
Seems I followed all the advice I found after hours of searching, still no luck. This post is out of despiration at this point
Thanks!

Updated to add information about setting up a BlackBerry Model 7250. Please post if you can get your model 7250 working on Verizon.
You must dial phone number "#777" to connect the laptop to the Internet on a CDMA cellphone modem (all 4 digits, and using a pound sign followed by three 7's).
When connecting, you may need to enter a username and password, where ########## is your 10-digit phone number:
Verizon
Username: ##########
Password: ##########@vzw3g.com

BlackBerryModem on CDMA Networks
I googled the Net and found the necessary information for Bell Mobility and Sprint users. This is an extrapolation (prediction) of what is necessary to make the 7250 work as a modem. No guarantees. Replace 8005551212 with the 10-digit phone number of your BlackBerry.
Verizon
Username: 8005551212@vzw3g.com
Password: vzw
Verizon (alternate)
Username: 8005551212@vzw3g.com
Password: 8005551212
Bell Mobility
Username: 8005551212@1x.bell.ca
Password: Your Voicemail PIN
Sprint
Username: Your Sprint PCS Username
Password: Your Sprint PCS Password
Sprint (alternate)
Username: (leave blank)
Password: (leave blank)
Telus CDMA
Username: 8005551212@1x.telusmobility.com
Password: ESN (11 digit code from your BlackBerry)
Also, there is an alternate phone number "#19788" if you are unable to dial using #777.

Preliminary tests by someone, indicates the 7250 does indeed have a modem built in.

I thought this was good because at least we have life. I then configured everything else as indicated in your instruction sheet. WHen I tried to connect, I received an error 678 - remote computer not responding. WHile it was trying to dial, I did not see any data arrows going back and forth on the BB screen.
Any ideas?

However, the modem doesn't appear to be fully enabled by Verizon yet -- An Error 678 occurs when trying to connect to Verizon's network.
Keep testing...

Remember, if you are on a BES 4.0 server, please make sure the "IPmodem" setting on your BES is enabled.
If you are on a BES/MDS hosting provider (Mailstreet, MyBlueberry, BES4U, eOutlook), please contact them to make sure the IPmodem setting is turned on in their BES server. Otherwise, you'll probably get an Error 678.

ChristopherRI was using BES 3.6 without the "IP modem" setting.
Is there another volunteer here, who is using BES 4, willing to test out BlackBerryModem on a 7250?

I remember seeing a success report from a Roger's customer in the past, but I am unable to get the IP Modem to work. I have 7290/HH 4.0/BES 4.0 on Roger's. Is it possible that they have shut this down?
I get the "Error 734: PPP link control protocol was terminated" message.
I have followed the instructions above, and ensured multilink and security are off.

Try calling Rogers and asking for the "internet.com Access Point Name" (APN) to be added to your account on top of the existing blackberry.net Access Point Name.
