Default Unable to use desktop manager

I've been trying to load applications onto my curve, but I keep getting the error "No additional applications designed for your device were found."

I've downloaded the latest 4.2 SP2 and still get the same error. I've tried with 3 separate applications, no go on any of them.

I'd specifically like to get midpssh installed. I can't seem to get it OTA either. After it downloads I get a 907 invalid COD error.

Anyone with any insight into either of these issues? This is my first blackberry so I'm very new to all it's ins and outs.

Thanks!

Yes ^^ SgtCasey.

You must have the current OS installed to your PC to the Application Loader.

This is what you need to do. Go to T-Mobile downloads and download the "handheld software v 4.2.2.171". Install it on your computer without your Curve connected and it'll prompt you to update your software. Just follow the prompts and you'll be all set to go. I went through the same thing you did and this is what you need to fix it.

Thanks for your reply, I do appreciate it. Unfortunately my handheld software (4.2.2.171) and my DM software (4.2.2.14) are both up to date yet I still can't use the app loader :(

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; Google Wireless Transcoder;))

Yes my DM sees the phone and I'm even able to use media manager. I just can't seem to get the app loader to work. It's completely bizarre.

Okay I got it working with the 8820. I was having the same issue where no matter what program I tried to install via the desktop, it always said it could not find anything for my phone. I fixed it by downloading and installing the latest version of the OS software. After it did updates (even though the about menu said I already had that version installed), it works like a charm and I can now install any software I want. I assume that this will also solve your problems on the curve.

Sorry, I misunderstood. Didn't realize the handheld software had to be installed on my PC. I did that and while I still get the no new applications error, they seem to install anyway. At this point, I'll take it Thanks for the help!
