Sorry for what might be a silly question. I know when I back up my Blackberry, all emails and text messages are backed up so if I restore it, they are all still there. Is this the case with Facebook messages/notifications in the Facebook app?

If Facebook sends updates via Email then yes. If they are contained within the application, they might not be.

I used an application that did not. I also have Blackberry Maps installed and that is not replaced during a restore after OS upgrade. Once the application is replaced back on the BB ( seperate fresh load )I have all the saved direction addresses. Not sure where these are stored.

Thanks! The updates are sent via email but then contained in the app (as opposed to in the messages section). I may have to just experiment and see. thanks for your help

They are indeed not saved - the facebook app is wiped clean. Just found out the hard way
