Default Disable automatic copy sent from 8310

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everyone,

I'm sure this is an easy question but I'm having difficulty locating the information on how to do this so I thought I'd ask.

I have a user hooked with an 8310 that is sync'd to our BES and every email he sends from his blackberry sends a copy to himself. Where is the option located to disable this?

Thanks for your help.

Are you sure he isn't using a personal Gmail account when this is happening? If he is, a filter needs to be set up in BIS. If it's the BES account, I have no help

Yes I'm sure.
I'm pretty sure the setting is on the blackberry somewhere as I recall seeing something similar but without having it in front of me to look at I'm not sure where it is.

So he's getting his sent email as incoming messages on the BB or in the email client (Outlook?) or both?

Its one of two things, you can go to the email on the blackberry and go to options/hide sent messages. Or they might have set up a BES account by doing an enterprise activation, and then also setting up the same email as a personal email account. The best way to figure it out, is to open one of the duplicates on the blackberry, scroll to the very top and see where it is being sent from. The best should always say something like "sent from desktop secure"
