Default Battery charging indicator?

Please Login to Remove!

Even when the Storm has been charging overnight and the status says the battery is at 100% the little yellow lightning icon over the battery never goes away. The manual suggests this should change to just a full battery icon when it's fully charged. Can anyone confirm this is the same for them, or maybe is my battery mangled?

It is suppose to go off when it reaches a fully charged state.

I had something goofy with the charging indicator, charged all night and only showed 2/3 full. Decided to do the infamous pull the battery and reboot, and when it came back it showed full. When I plugged it in, it didn't show the lightning like it was charging, therefore battery was full. Try the pull and reboot, hope it helps.

I see the same issue as the OP. In addtion, when the BB is off the charging LED never goes to solid green even if left overnight. There have been other posts confirming the issue. Battery pulls don't help.

I had the same issue, my LED always blinking yellow, never going to solid green when charging overnight. I was always charging via PC/USB, as I have done with all my previous Blackberrys.

I tried charging with the AC charger last night and...voila! This morning I wkoe up to a solid green light...

I notice that the AC charger outputs 5v 700mA. I believe that USB tops out at 500mA. Could this be the difference?

Regardless, I'm happy to see my familiar Green LED again...

I use the wall charger. When the phone is off the charging light never stops blinking and never turns solid green. When the phone is on the lightning bolt never goes away. However, after charging for a while and resetting the phone (either by using quick pull or removing the battery), the lightning bolt goes away indicating a full charge. If I then turn the phone off, I get a steady green light. Also indicating a full charge. I have never received either full charge notification any other way. Previously, I was running OS .75 and now .76 on Verizon.

OS .75 hadd a problem with this. some threads had you turning bb on and off several times and plugging it in and out - it finally worked - fully charged indicator. Not an issue with leaked OS .99 or .103. It will be resolved - I gather with an official OS upgrade.
