Default Storm 2 for Sprint?

Please Login to Remove!

I have hear NOTHING about this. My inside source says it's coming, but he's proven to be completely clueless about BlackBerrys. On other stuff he's been about 80%, but on all things BlackBerry he's "ofer". That's 0 for everything.

I tried a Storm 1 for a while and simply couldn't get past it's faults. The Storm 2 is shaping up to be quite an improvement, however, and may be worth a look. I'm not ready to bail on Sprint though, especially for Verizon. Been there, done that, and still have the mental scars.

I agree. This seems highly unlikely.

I haven't heard anything about it either, but my reps didn't hear anything about the Palm Pixi until the day it was released. Sounds like they are being pretty tight lipped lately.

Default droid

Yeah Verizon unlimited fam share is ridiculous. Looked at droid and that is pretty damn cool. Lighting fast and full page browser. Pull out qwerty nice too, Mr. Jobs! Obviously they have a white knuckled grip on that and Sprint will never get. Love the tour but might as well not even have internet. I mean really, RIM, are you serious? Frustrating but as a realtor shortcut keys left for text and right for email is perfect for me. Internet is not the better part of my day or anything but why not shoot for the ideal like droid or iphone? To get same plan as I have at Sprint I would pay $100 more at Verizon!! Better network? Whatever. I hardly ever drop calls in Wisconsin so their pitch doesnt get it done for me. I mean for that $$ I could get 2 mobile usbs internets for the fam and always have my netbook with me in car! Is there anything remotely close to functionality of BB Tour that also has the internet firepower of droid or iphone with Sprint. What about that Storm2? Any guesses? Anyone out there better than the o-fer guy on inside knowledge? In this day and age can Sprint/BB not deliver the best of both worlds to biz phone that has more than a shameful internet platform?

Umm - this isn't another phone.
This is about getting an EXISTING phone over to Sprint.

"There's practically zero doubt remaining that RIM has a next-generation Tour in the works, but if you're one of those tin foil hat wearers, you'll be glad to know that at least one of these things really, truly exists. Boy Genius just got his paws around the Tour2 9650 (shown left), and aside from the optical trackpad replacing the trackball (and the addition of a WiFi module), there's not much new here. Oh, except that presumably quicker CPU -- we're guessing to-be owners will dig that. We're told that the physical size is practically identical to the original Tour, and the keyboard is still phenomenal." This from engadget. I am supposed to get excited about this? Droid blows it away. Verizon just too expensive for plans. Too bad for me.

Wow that I am being a baby, lol, or something else? I'm just tired of signing new contracts and then some crazy cool stuff comes out that is only indigenous to another carrier or a new phone with my carrier with let's say wi-fi and now there are no rebates and it costs an arm and a leg. Whoops, I'm whining again. Are you in agreement with my plight or no? I will say that, other than the internet shortcomings, the crackberrys have been great. Just hate the fact that I can eat a Jethro Bodine sized bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch before the pages load. Hey, in a few more posts, I can add a smiley face. Yippee! Lol!

Figured you'd respond like this, you old stick in the mud. My beefs are valid and sincere. Sorry I am new to forums in general and should have sought out the other forum, but you didn't have to respond like a complete asshole. Your pic is perfect for you. Have a good night you grumpy old f*#@.

Oh my. Did I call you names?
You come on here, crap in a thread, then repeat it, and expect anything different.

Wow.
Time to go.

Well i don't know what like the exclusivity agreements are over there in the US of A however like Verizon, Vodafone had exclusive rights to the Storm 1 and, for a brief period, the Storm 2...

Now the Storm 2 is available on T-Mobile UK (with possible talk of it being on either O2 or Orange UK - the better likelihood being it available on Orange as there have been a merger deal between T-Mobile and Orange to create the biggest network in the UK)

So it might very well be available on Sprint however i wouldn't speculate on a release date... When reading up on USA Network updates (i.e. upgrades, performance tests, upcoming phones etc) Sprint seems to be a quiet update on my Viigo RSS Reader

I got ya Daphne, my bad. As for NJ, not sure why I was crapping in a thread. I was speaking of legitimate issues that were directly related to a phone, the Storm 2, making it to Sprint. If I got off on a tangent then maybe I SHOULD have went to a different thread, but I don't need anyone responding to me like that either. Maybe he should you use some kinder tact in the future especially to a newbie who is inexperienced in forum protocol. He is a moderator or former one. I would think he would know better. But that is that. I certainly do not need his sympathy. I was merely stating a relevant complaint that I believe many BB users can relate too. I am sure that many probably thought my response was inappropriate, so again, my bad on that. Good day.
