Default Contacts - forcing upload from BB to Outlook?

Please Login to Remove!

Here is the situation:
A user had tons of duplicate entries in her BB (don't know why). They were not duplicate in Outlook. She decided to clean up all the duplicates on her BB. Once she did that, they all disappeared from Outlook.
Is there a way to force all the BB contacts to upload to Outlook?
I have already turned off wireless synch of contacts and turned it back on (on the device) to try to jump-start it, but it didn't help.

Any ideas?

I've only seen on BES (i'm on 5.0 now) to force calendar re-sync...for that situation I think the only way i know if is to install the desktop software and have it sync that way. a pain in the butt, yes.

i just saw on my BES while looking at something else, this is on BES 5.0 there is a section now where you can specify if the Server or the Handheld is the "master" for the address book. Try changing that to Handheld. Hopefully that will copy the handheld's address book back up to the server/outlook.

it is under:

User > Manage users > Edit user (Jane Doe) > Edit message settings , then choose Organizer Data Syncronization.

Yes, you can force the device to resync with the server. Go into the address book, then into Options. With General Options highlighted, type RSET (do not hold the ALT key or anything).

Should get a prompt "This will erase your Desktop contact list, and reload it from your server. Continue?" Click Yes. See here for more information:

Maybe the language in the article is confusing me a bit, but just to confirm:
This process will upload everything on the Blackberry into the Outlook contacts, not the other way around, correct?

Oh, no, I misread your email. The RSET will delete all contact data from the device and then resync with the data from the server. You want the reverse.... Sorry for the confusion.

Would backing up the BB, deleting the contacts, allow time for the synch to happen and then restoring them do the job?
