I've had my hotmail acct since July '03. I have not received an email from MSFT like the one mentioned above. I currently use Outlook for my e-mails/contacts/calendar... So far, I have had no problem receiving e-mail from my hotmail acct on my BB.
Since it is an established e-mail address and everything from job searches/resumes to banking/bills and such are set up on that acct. I really don't want to have to abandon that acct. Can anyone give me a definitive answer as to whether my hotmail service will be interrupted with outlook or my BB? Also, if I signed up for gmail, would I have to go through the painstaking process of trying to convert bills/banking/etc. or could I have my hotmail forwarded to gmail?

Hello guys,
As my first post I was wondering the same. I can't add my Hotmail account to the Blackberry. So the only way is by doing this(receiving Hotmail emaila through a BB) is through Outlook??? is that I never use outlook....just have to set it up

to further muddy the water a bit (and forgive me if I somehow missed this), but my wife uses Outlook 2003 to access her email. Is that going to cease?

She has an older hotmail account she has had forever. I have been considering getting her a BB. There is no way she will switch email accounts. If it is going to stop working with OL2003, I guess I will have to pay the 20 bucks a year. That's a lot cheaper than a divorce.

FWIW, I used hotmail years ago and actually had the plus thing. I got tired of that and switched to gmail. I wanted to keep getting the hotmail due to the 3 people that for whatever reason absolutely refuse to update my address. I found a little app called getmail (I think). I have a spare PC at work that runs 24/7 for various things. The getmail thing forwards the email to my gmail account fairly elegantly. Now I wonder if it is going to stop working...
