Lightbulb New emacberry.com App: LittleBrother v0.3 public BETA

Please Login to Remove!

Today I would like share with you the news that there is a new BlackBerry Application by emacberry.com called:

LittleBrother for BlackBerry
The "ZERO-power consuming" tracking solution | It's CellTower based - supporting CDMA and GSM Network.

I am looking for people (CDMA & GSM) who are willing to test this new app and are willing to give me feedback concerning the functionality.

Please read shortly the "Theory of Operation" section (at the homepage) before you install the app - might be that it's totally useless for you :D

What LittleBrother does?
Automatically inform friends and family members when you are around - so they can be prepared when you arrive (can save you some embarrassing moments). Keep informed right in the moment when your loved once are leaving a previous defined sector (radius around a location). Doing all this without almost none additional power consumption and data transfer.
There are various applications available that track your location all the time (and send this information to a central server) or they can on demand request the location of your device - both solutions have their disadvantages when it comes to the fact that you would like to send/receive notifications only - but exactly in the moment - if and when your device is leaving a previously defined area/sector.

Sounds interesting,

Will definitely try.

P.S. Reminded me of "On My Way" from Telenav.

a (IMHO) very important difference is, that LittleB is CellTower based and does not need GPS to be enabled all the time (this should have a noticeable positive effect on battery live)...

In general (without having investigated "On My Way" too much) it seams to me that both apps have a different focus/use case and can't be compared directly with each other.

Looking forward to the feedback
