I don't think it ever got stock but it is in the wrong place! It took awhile to get use to, I was canceling calls with my other fingers on the side.

Didn't like it at first but I have gotten used to it now so it's no big deal.

Its been there since the 6510 but I have never really cared for it there. As for sticking, my little nobby things on the button are worn off but never stuck. Sometimes the DC system sticks but not the PTT button. -g2d

It is different but not hard to get to. So it works fine. In fact a few times I have used a regular Moto iDen phone, it seems strange to push the button on the side of the phone.

If you like the DC button on the side...get the 7510. If you already have the 7520, sucks to be u...I didn't like it at first too. Just got to live with it.

You mean if you like it on the side GET THE 7100i... the 65/75 models are all on the top. As for the "sucks to be u" part.. what's it matter. I use about 800-1000 minutes per month of DC and figure that to be pretty high for a BB user. I am sure there are more heavy users out there but if you are spending that much time with your index finger on the top then you obvisouly are not spending enough time using your thumbs to need a blackberry.

I will say this... the top style on the 65/75 can give you a carpal tunnel feel in your wrist if do it for extended periods of time and you need larger hands.. my wife cannot use my 7520 without using two hands to hit the PTT.

the 7100i has it on the top also, and no to the 7510, becasue of the crappy memory, although i do like the color of it. im happy with the 7520, now all they need to do is give it more memory, and a better screen and call it an 8700i(wishful thinking)

It doesn't bother me, in fact I like the button on top since the BB is wide. On my i860, I like the button on the side since it's easier to handle, but since I hold my 7520 in my left hand, it's easy for my index finger to hit/hold the ptt button.

I dont mind the button on the top at all, was a bit different but no biggie, the only problem I had was that I would hold my fore and middle fingers on the button and my thumb on the bottom and would keep covering my microphone LOL, but I have since conquered that little problem as well.

i like it better on the top... its the escape button that annoyed the hell out of me the first 2 months i had the phone... i must have hung up on 1/2 my calls by accident

and i'm pretty sure he was only talking to 7520 users since this is a blackberry forum and only the 75 series phone has the DC on the top

I've had my 7520 for about a year and don't have a problem with the DC button on top.I do however hit the escape button on the side every once in a while or if I hand the phone to my wife she hits the escape button while on the phone and disconnects from the person. Then she tells me my phone is a piece of !@#$ and calls the person back on her phone. Obviously shes not a blackberry fan...but I'm working on her.
