Has anyone gotten the enhanced gmail plug in working on pearl 8130?

I tried loading it onto my pearl. When I went to go check my email it looked the exact same. Didn't see a different icon I could use.

Are you using your email icon or your messages icon? The plugin only works for the icon corresponding to your gmail account and doesn't work with the mixed Messages one.
