Yes.. I followed this very closely. Thank you for posting. I do feel much of the beat down was on the network and he was more of the symbol of the problem.

I agree wholeheartedly. CNBC deserved it, Cramer just was the sacrificial lamb.

Cramer totally deserves it. He's one of the most arrogant folks out there. He's been proven to lose relative to the market by lots of publications and websites and keeps changing the criteria on how he thinks people should measure him. I've seen him flip 180 degrees on a stock in 24 hours without any explanation. Likely he just didn't remember what he said the day before. He would not be so bad if he weren't constantly claiming how great he is.
If you listen to his viewer's calls, they are predominantly new/inexperienced investors. His biggest asset is he talks to a lot of people so once in a while he passes along some good insight. Many times he passes it off as if he thought of it.
But Stewart is being very political. Haven't seen him show the video of Barney Frank on CNBC saying Fannie or Freddie were fine, right before they were taken over by the government.
He called Cramer out after Cramer railed on the President for an entire week. Compared him to Vladimir Lenin, said he was declaring war on business, said the budget was socialism, etc. Cramer started the week saying he's going to say things that are going to get him dis-invited from all the good parties. Probably right because by Friday he sheepishly said, ok next week I'll be nice to the President.
Here are some. Hard to find the more interesting ones on his show. I think CNBC keeps his show under wraps.

I think Jon Stewart was golden in this interview.
Here is the full interview
The Daily Show Full Episode | Thursday Mar 12 2009 | Comedy Central
It's only fitting that it's presented by BlackBerry.

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)
As far as Stewart or the show being political and showing bias, isn't the basis of the show in terms of comedy.

Yeah he is definitely more of a democrat in his commentary. But he does use them as inspiration in the comedy as well. In this I think he was apolitical though.

He may take shots at the left but his main target is the right. I dont find him funny at all. To me politics don't have a place in entertainment. I watch entertainmemt to escape reality.

Whats your view on Letterman and Leno. Do you feel they show bias?

They do at times but their entire show is not dedicated to politics.

I did enjoy Letterman's issues with McCain after the election, that was pretty funny.
Are there any conservative / Republican hosts on TV or radio? we have mentioned the shows with a "left agenda", any right agenda ones?

I don't care what 'agenda' Stewart or Colbert have, I think they are funny as hell.

I agree. I find them both funny as well. (I like your signature, btw).
I am surprised I haven't seen anyone comment on Obama's bowling statement be made on Leno last night.

Thanks. My favorite biologist, Charles Darwin, said that. It is a true statement IMHO. And by the way, I like your signature too. The mark of a supreme optomist.

Well now I'll have to go look it up. I saw mention of something he said that is catching some flack, but have no idea what it was.

The comment came midway through Obama's appearance on the late night comedy show, when host Jay Leno quipped about the president's lack of bowling skills: “I imagine the bowling alley [in the White House] has just been just burned and closed down," Leno said.
“No, no. I have been practicing,” Obama said. “I bowled a 129. It's like — it was like Special Olympics, or something."
"(CNN) – President Obama apologized Thursday night for an offhanded remark during his appearance on The Tonight Show that appeared disparaging toward Special Olympic athletes.
White House officials confirm the president called Special Olympics Chairman Tim Shirver before the show aired to personally apologize for the remark. One official said Obama expressed his disappointment over the comment and his intention not to humiliate the disabled."
Pretty dumb thing to say knowing that it would be an issue.

Yes, it was a dumb thing to say. But it's also understandable. The guy is in the spotlight 24/7 and he is not as scripted as some past presidents. He's going to make mistakes. Shows that he is human. And he was quick with a humble apology.

The glass is 1/2 full would be more of an optimist's viewpoint. I would say it's more of a realist's viewpoint.

I agree that it was dumb to say. It was in the middle of the interview and I think he just got a little to comfortable, or caught up in the moment. If that were a comedian or another celebrity, I think it would have been overlooked.
