Hi All,

I am having problems with my blackberry. It doesn't update itself if the exchange emails are transferred moved from inbox to a PST folder. Theoretically, the balckberry should only show the emails in onbox or the folders under the inbox. Please let me know how this can be rectified? many thanks!

Yes, I am using BES version 5.0. The device configured with Exchange is Blackberry Bold 9700.

BES can not access a PST file. the emails must stay in the mailbox on exchange.

You also need to enable hard deletes so it can pick up the change.

Hard deletes must be enabled and should be by default with BES 5.0

Check your email reconciliation settings (Messages -> Click Menu -> Options -> Email Reconciliation).
If you have more than one email configured for your BB (BIS account) make sure the Message Services is set to Desktop.

Wireless reconciliation -> On
On Confilcts -> Mailbox wins

Are the messages deleted from the users Outlook Inbox when they are saved to a .PST?
I suggest verifying in OWA that the messages are no longer in the Inbox otherwise they won't be deleted from the BB. Sometimes the messages are in the Outlook deleted items which has not reflected the mesage status change in the Exchange users mailbox

Messages are deleted from outlook inbox when they are saved to a PST folder.

Email reconciliation work for read and unread items only.

Can you clarify which part is not working?

When you delete an email from Outlook or BlackBerry is the email not updating to the other location?

Or are emails deleting from the BlackBerry or Outlook when they shouldn't?
