I have a user that can't get her deleted emails to be reconciled down to the blackberry. She gets an email in her inbox in Outlook on her PC. The email shows up on the blackberry as well.

Then she does a hard delete on the email while in outlook (shift delete). But the email stays on her blackberry. I've gone into options and said "reconcile now", and it doesn't do anything. We have other users with the exact same kind of blackberry and deleting emails from their outlook inboxes deletes it off of the blackberry as well. Just for this one woman, it doesn't work.

On her black berry we have reconciliation on, i have "hide filed messages" set to yes. on the BES server I set it to only redirect "Inbox" and "Sent Items".

Any ideas?

The blackberry knows when a message is deleted from the INBOX, when the BES "sees" the message in the Deleted Items folder. If you "hard" delete a message it never goes to the deleted items, so the message will not be automatically deleted from the BB. Same thing would happen if you deleted a message from the Inbox, then immediately emptied deleted items. You have to allow time for the BES to "see" the delete.

There is a setting on BES to reconcile hard deletes. I haven't done extensive testing to see how well it works, but I haven't had "my mail isn't deleting off my BB" complaints in a long time!

In BES Manager: click on "servers" on left side. click Properties, select Messaging, set "Hard Deletes Reconciliation" to True.
